SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

St. John’s School is introducing a new Memorial/Dedication Scholarship Program. People may donate any amount of money to be put into a fund for tuition assistance for St. John’s students in need. The initial donations will be reserved and the interest will be used for tuition assistance.

If you are interested, please complete our scholarship form explaining the amount to be donated, whether this will be an annual donation or a one time donation, and write a description of who the award is recognizing.

Examples:

$100.00 annual donation given in honor of Suzie and Joanne Johnson by the Peterson family.

Suzie and Joanne were sisters who attended St. John’s School. Their family was very dedicated to giving their daughters a Catholic education. Suzie later became a Benedictine Sister working in nursing and Joanne got married, raised two sons who attended St. John’s School and Joanne, herself taught first grade at St. John’s. They are wonderful St. John’s alumni who continue to contribute to our community. We are creating this scholarship to honor their outstanding achievements.

$10,000 one time donation as a memorial to our parents/grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lomeier.

Our parents spent their lives trying to make life easier for their children and grandchildren. They worked hard and persevered through difficult times to assure that we had a good education and many opportunities in life. They would be thrilled to know that we established a memorial in their names to help students who need tuition assistance in their pursuit of an excellent Catholic education.

Memorial Scholarships will be printed and distributed as well as recognized each year during the Catholic Schools Week Masses.
