PRESCHOOL
Philosophy
We believe that preschool is a bridge between home and school. Therefore, we value the relationships of our families and understand the importance of creating a safe, nurturing and welcoming environment for our children. Faithful Beginnings Website
Preschool
Our preschool program, for three and four year-olds, reflects best practices, which promote creativity, exploration, socialization, literacy, mathematics and inquiry. Children will have the opportunity to develop relationships with teachers and peers, while exploring a wide variety of open-ended materials. The program emphasizes concrete experience (e.g., block construction, cooking, dramatic play) as vehicles for learning. Thus, play is at the heart of our curriculum and we value its contributions to early learning.
Kindergarten Readiness
Our K-Readiness Play Based class, for older four, and early five year-olds, promotes enthusiastic lifelong learning through a hands on and explorative learning approach that is stimulating, encouraging, supportive, educational, and fun. Through activities that promote creativity, exploration, socialization, literacy, and mathematics, this class creates a seamless transition to kindergarten. Our curriculum assessment tools align with the MN standards in all areas of development. Our teachers monitor children’s progress and development throughout the year.
Our Teachers
Our preschool professionals hold degrees in Early Childhood, Kindergarten, and Parent Education for a combined total of 56 years of teaching experience.
Our teachers foster and promote a child’s self esteem, social skills and character traits through large group, small group, and individualized instruction while creating an inclusive environment which promotes and values diversity.
Faith Formation
Faithful Beginnings Preschool and Kindergarten Readiness students grow in faith and love through teachers that model our Faith, through song and prayer, and creative lessons that promote Christian values.
