Enrollment Memo: Grades 1-7
2022-2023 ENROLLMENT
GRADES 1-7
Dear Parents,
Once again we are beginning our preparations for next school year. Last year we made changes to our enrollment process to make things easier for families and staff, and it seemed to work very well. The new procedure was called, “Continuous Enrollment”. It eliminated having to complete the enrollment process each year, unless you have a new child entering the school. Your child is just automatically enrolled for the next grade level for the next year. This is a time-saver for you and it helps us be more efficient. This streamlined process is being adopted by Catholic school families all over the Archdiocese, and we are very happy to have it here for your convenience!
All current students will be auto-enrolled for the 2022/2023 school year. If your child will not be returning next school year, please notify the school in writing by December 31, 2021 so we can take them out of the auto enrollment process.
Process for Continuous Enrollment: Your child’s information will carry forward year-after-year. This will save you time each year because you won’t have to reenter information such as emergency contact, medical information, etc. You will now be able to go in at any point during the school year and update personal information (add a medical contact, switch a phone number, etc). Each year, all you will have to do is sign a new tuition agreement to complete the enrollment process for that school year. On Monday, January 3, 2022, your child will automatically be re-enrolled for the next school year.
Registration Fee and Tuition: Tuition agreements will be generated and emailed to you on Monday, January 31, 2022. Families who sign and complete their tuition agreement on or before February 13, 2022, will not be charged a registration fee. For those families who wait to sign their tuition agreement until after February 13, 2022, they will be charged a one-time $150 per student ($300 max per family) registration fee. When your tuition agreement is signed, your spot has been reserved for your child.
Our Parish/School Finance Council and School Advisory Council has approved an increase in tuition for the coming 2022/2023 school year to help us cover continually rising costs due to inflation (and other contributing factors), as well as implement a number of new programs and opportunities here at our cherished school! This increase will bring the following new and enhanced opportunities to our students:
Full-Time Spanish Content Specialist K-7
Full-Time Middle School Math Content Specialist Teacher
Full-Time Middle School Science Content Specialist Teacher
Full-Time Additional Custodial Staff
Full-Time 3rd Grade Paraprofessional
Part-Time School Office Receptionist
Full-Time Lunchroom Coordinator & After School Care K-7 Lead Position
Even with this increase, we remain the 2nd lowest tuition (regardless of your parish registration status) when compared to the 8 closest Catholic Schools in our surrounding area.
Financial aid: We NEVER WANT financial concerns to deter a family from choosing Saint John’s! We work with families to make affording a Catholic education possible for anyone who desires it for their children! Saint John’s works with the Aim Higher Foundation in providing scholarships for qualifying families (K-7). We also offer tuition assistance through our own dedicated funds (K - 7th).
Due to growing need, this year we have some new guidelines around our financial aid process, including an application deadline of Saturday, April 30, 2022. You must have all application materials filled out in full on the TADs system by that date in order to be considered for financial aid for the following school year.
