Cadillac Dinner: Everything you need to know!

EVENT PROGRAM

SILENT AUCTION

The Silent Auction goes LIVE at 8:00am on Saturday, February 26, 2022.

ENTERTAINMENT

We are thrilled to announce this year’s entertainment will be local comedian Bryan Miller LIVE and in-person!

FUND-THE-NEED

It’s been over 18 years since the carpet was laid in the hallways of Saint John the Baptist Catholic School and it’s showing its age!

There are stains that the strongest chemicals cannot treat, and tears that defy repair. Because of the age of the carpet, it is no longer possible for us to find matching pieces of trim or patches to fill in tears.

The carpet is well past its lifespan and it’s time for a facelift.

THE PLAN

There are rooms that would be better served without carpet, but with hard surfaces like LVT tile. Places like Preschool, Art, and Kindergarten will be easier to clean-up with hard surfaces and so as we make plans we are involving our teachers and rethinking those spaces.

In the summer of 2022, we will remove all the furniture from the classrooms and starting July 1 our contractor will remove all the carpet and hard surfaces and install LVT in those rooms that request it, and carpet tiles in other rooms.

Carpet tiles are easier to install and easier to maintain. When there is a stain, you can simply remove the tile with the stain and replace it! Our second floor Middle School was outfitted with carpet tiles and it is serving our school very well!

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

We need your help! Donate today to help make this plan a reality!

We need to raise roughyl $60,000 to make this project happen! We are currently working on raising matching funds so that at the night of the Cadillac Dinner on March 5, 2022 we will meet our goal!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the Cadillac Dinner?

The Cadillac Dinner is a semi-formal evening filled with a variety of fun events. Buying a ticket offers a delicious dinner for two, a chance to win cash door prizes and $100 in play money for casino-style games. The Cadillac Dinner is designed to be a fun evening out that promotes fellowship among our school families, parish, and community while also raising money for our wonderful school.

What do we do at the Cadillac Dinner?

After 5 pm mass at the church the evening continues at Ridges at Sand Creek Golf Course with sponsored Social Hour. At 7:00 pm Father will pray our meal prayer and then we will enjoy a delicious meal of Prime Rib, Chardonnay Chicken, Caesar Salad, Vegetables, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Dinner Rolls and Desserts. Entertainment from a live comedian follows. A cash drawing takes place at the end of the meal where SJB generously awards cash prizes totaling $2500 to many ticket holders. Our Principal Mr. Dorr will help us to raise funds for our Fund-the-Need project.

Then the casino style games begin, which are played with play money, which can then be used for our end of the night live auction. Throughout the evening other games of chance will be played and raffle and silent auction items are available for viewing and bidding.

What kind of items are available for the silent auction?

Individuals, businesses, our school and parish have all donated items in the past. Each class donates a project, which are personalized by our students. Principal & school office assistant for the day are just a few of the school items that are up for bid! The auction is run through an online system called Handbid, allowing people to bid from the comfort of their home, right from their Smart Phone!

What is a Sponsor Table?

A $1000 sponsor table includes 8 tickets, admitting 8 people and all the perks of a regular ticket. PLUS, those seated at the table will also enjoy the luxury of being served at meal time, 2 bottles of complimentary wine, an extra $100 in play money per guest along with reserved seating for the entire evening. A $500 table is 4 tickets, admitting 4 people, a plated and served meal with one bottle of wine, extra $100 play money for each guest and reserved seating. Special mention/advertisement for those willing to go the “extra mile” will appear in the evening’s program.

Why do we have the Cadillac Dinner?

The Cadillac Dinner is our school’s primary fundraiser. The monies earned from the tickets sales and evening events allow our school to continue to be one of the best in the area. We are very proud of our wonderful school and it would not be possible to maintain a healthy, catholic education without the additional funds that are raised during the evening. The Cadillac Dinner is a great way to mingle with other parents of SJB students and members of our parish and community. Having fun and raising money for the school makes for a great evening.
